I grew up in a working-class community. At home I was very much encouraged to seek out and utilize public and community resources to go after my goals. I was encouraged to be persistent while navigating a variety of systems.
When I went to grad school I was exposed to a different level of wealth and access. I was around people who had effortless access to resources that supported their mental health and overall wellbeing in ways that were beyond what I knew existed. After seeing that, I knew I wanted to bring to my communities the same level of options, autonomy, and access to quality services that the well-resourced receive.

Investment in Therapy
I provide attachment-focused and EMDR-trained trauma therapy for adults navigating intergenerational trauma, racialized stress, identity complexity, and high-functioning survival patterns. My work integrates relational depth, nervous system awareness, and structured trauma processing to support meaningful, lasting change.
As a Black, Queer, and Genderqueer clinician, I hold space where BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients can move beyond explanation and into deeper work. Many of the people I work with are therapists, caregivers, organizers, and others in helping roles who are accustomed to being the steady one.
I maintain a focused caseload to ensure our work remains consistent, spacious, and clinically rigorous.
Sessions are available in person in Oakland’s Adams Point neighborhood and online for clients throughout California.
Fees & Access
Standard fee: $225 per 50-minute session
I am in-network with Aetna, Alameda Alliance for Health, and UnitedHealthcare.
This practice operates on a solidarity-informed model. Clients who are able to pay the standard rate help sustain a limited number of equity-based rate adjustments for those navigating financial constraint or systemic barriers. These spaces are intentionally capped to protect long-term sustainability and are currently full. Availability is reassessed periodically.
If cost is a concern, I welcome a conversation.
Payment Policies & Good Faith Estimate
Payment and Cancellation Policy
Payment is due at the time services are provided. You are responsible for any charges not covered by your insurance.
If I am an out-of-network provider for your insurance I will provide superbills for reimbursement.
***A credit card is required on file for ongoing sessions***
To ensure a gratifying experience and cater to everyone's needs, I request a 24-hour notice for appointment cancellations. This allows me to maintain appointment availability for those seeking assistance. In the event of cancellations made within less than 24 hours, the agreed-upon late cancellation fee will be charged.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. By law, health care providers must give patients who are without or not using insurance, an estimate of expected charges for all services, including psychotherapy.
You will receive this Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including therapy. You can ask your healthcare provider for a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling a service.
If you receive a bill, at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

“...the most powerful truths we can claim, and the most powerful truths we can declare, are the truths that we have lived ourselves because those are the forms of power that we know most intimately, and it is in our most intimate spaces (e.g., our bodies, the people that we are in community with across place, space, and time) that power operates most transparently to reveal its most stubborn dynamics”
